Women's Cricket Expression of Interest

UTS North Sydney is proud to be one of the foundation clubs of grade cricket in Sydney, boasting enviable facilities just a short distance from the CBD. Our women’s program has grown into one of the strongest in the competition, built on a philosophy of sustainable development and a culture of excellence. We acknowledge with gratitude the incredible contribution of Michelle Goszko, who guided the program with distinction over recent seasons. A former Australian Test player with a double century to her name, Michelle’s expertise and passion laid the foundation for our women’s success and created a pathway for emerging players to thrive. While stepping back from the Head Coach role, Michelle continues to make an invaluable impact as our High Performance Specialist Coach, supporting the program with her knowledge and mentoring. In 2025, we welcomed Petar Srejodevic as Head Coach of the women’s program. Petar brings deep coaching knowledge, proven leadership, and a strong commitment to continuing the program’s success. His appointment marks the next step in our journey, ensuring the Bears remain a destination for aspiring cricketers. Since the 2018/19 season, the UTS North Sydney Bears have steadily expanded opportunities for women and girls. Our journey began with the U18 Brewer Shield competition, where we have been a cornerstone ever since. In 2019/20, we entered our first open-age women’s side in the NSW Premier Women’s Cricket Third Grade competition, reaching the finals consistently in the seasons that followed. The growth continued with the introduction of a Second Grade side in 2023/24, who claimed the premiership in their debut year and went on to successfully defend the title in 2024/25. The UTS North Sydney Bears are not just a cricket club; we are a community dedicated to the growth and success of women’s cricket. With a proud history behind us and a bright future ahead under Petar’s leadership we remain committed to fostering a legacy of excellence and passion for the game.
