Gary Whitaker, Director of Cricket – Men’s

Gary came to UTS North Sydney with a wealth of coaching experience having led grade and shires clubs for over a decade. Gary's resume is littered with achievements, including first grade premierships, a club championship and winning 2013/14’s SCA Coach of the Year award while at Sydney University.

Before commencing on his coaching career, Gary had a lengthy grade cricket career as a pace bowler. Gary's love for the game is evident in his continued playing career, having represented his state in Veterans' cricket

Gary manages the men’s cricket program at UTS NSDCC, including player development and preparation and engaging experienced professionals to assist Norths players improve their cricket.

Gary is a Level 3 coach and holds a Masters degree in coaching.

John Saint, Men's Head Coach

John joined the Bears from a coaching role at Penrith, having also had a highly accomplished playing career. He played First Grade for Penrith and Sydney University, winning two O’Reilly medals, and First Class cricket for Tasmania. He counts Wasim Akram and Arjuna Ranatunga among his scalps for the Apple Isle.

John's remarkable cricketing experience is invaluable to the men's playing group at UTS North Sydney.

Tom Jagot, Poidevin-Gray and Batting Coach

2020/21 O'Reilly Medalist, Tom Jagot, oversees the development of the club's batting taltent. Tom's record in NSW Premier Cricket speaks for itself.

Tom has worked as a batting coach, most recently for Hype Cricket Academy, for almost a decade and has valuable experience in helping young players reach their potential.

Michelle Goszko, Director of Cricket - Women's

Michelle brings an intimidating playing a coaching pedigree to UTS North Sydney's women's program. Michelle's playing career included scoring a test double century and winning a world cup in front of the largest crowd ever recorded at a women's cricket match.

After her playing career Michelle has been heavily involved in the NSW pathways program for junior girls, recently coaching the NSW Metro U15 squad at the national championships.

Michelle manages the women's cricket program at UTS NSDCC, overseeing all aspects of the program.

Michelle is a Level 3 coach who also runs level 1 programs for CNSW.

Ashley Perrott, Fielding and Fitness Coach

Ash an accomplished sportsman, having played first grade rugby and competitive athletics. Ash has been a vital contributor to the Bears' men's and juniors programs in recent seasons and brings a focus and professionalism to the program.

Ash is a Level 2 coach.

Mac Jenkins, Green Shield Coach

Mac Jenkins takes the helm of the Green Shield side, having established himself as one fo the foremost allrounders in NSW Premier Cricket. Mac is an Australian U19 representative and has all the experience necessary to lead young players on their representative cricket journey.

Mac provides a calm head and fine cricket acumen to the youngest Bears and will ensure the up-and-coming players at the club will have every opportunity to succeed.

Tim Reynolds, Assisstant Green Shield Coach

Tim has been with the Bears since his own first season of Green Shield and has fought through injuries to become a stalwart first grade player and state age-group representative. Tim has assisted with the Green Shield program heavily in recent seasons and brings strong experience to his role.
