Chris Savage joined UTS North Sydney from Northbridge CC and has made a long lasting impact at our club. Chris has contributed so much for our club off the field that some may forget his outstanding efforts on the field. However, this is not one of those times as in Round 2 Chris brought up his 100th wicket for the club!

In 59 matches for the Bears, Chris now has 106 wickets at 17.36. He has taken three Five wicket hauls with a best bowling of 5/15 vs Mosman in season 2020/21. Chris has represented the club in all grades bar First Grade and Green Shield, and has 12 wickets in Second Grade, 22 in Third Grade, 15 in PGs and the remainder in 4s and 5s. Chris was a critical member of the 2019/20 Fifth Grade Premiership side in which he took 29 wickets at 13.

Chris graceful opening bowler with an effortless run-up and who bowls with decent pace. Chris pitches the ball up and often gets the batsman caught behind the wicket as a result. I have captained Chris for a number of his games for the club and its always been a pleasure to have him in the side. Chris will remind people that he would be well past 100 wickets should said captain be able to hold onto his catches!

We look forward to more wickets tumbling as Chris embarks on another tilt at the David Sherwood Cup in Fifth Grade this season.
