5s QF vs Gordon this weekend at Bon Andrews

A swashbuckling season edges closer to its climax this weekend for the 5th Grade UTS North Sydney Bears. With a mixture of experience and youth, the charismatic squad has been lighting up the competition during the 2021/22 season, finishing 3rd overall at the end of the regular season, only losing 3 games.

The flavour of the season has been bowl first, doing so in every contest to date. The hallmarks of ‘high energy’ cricket and exemplary fielding set the tone for each day for the Bears, from warm up to the last ball.

This week sees the upstarts take on their round 2 opponents and local rivals, Gordon at Bon Andrews (North Sydney No.2). A pulsating rematch on paper, with the Bears winning a nail biter in their previous meeting by 2 wickets.

With the first ball slated to be bowed at 10am Saturday, get down to Bon Andrews and rally behind the present and future of the club as they take one step closer to glory.
