Introducing the Bears' 2017-18 Club Captains

Club captains

The Raine & Horne North Sydney Bears are proud to announce Oliver Knight and Ben Bryant as club captains for season 2017-18.

Role and Responsibilities

The role of the club captains is to improve club life for all players over the course of the season. The club captains help organise the club’s social events, welcome new players to the club and operate as a hub for players both on and off the field.

The club captains are also there to support the playing group and represent their views to club leadership. While players can always approach coaches and volunteers, the club captains offer another avenue for players to discuss any issues or suggest improvements on how the club may be run.

The Bears’ club captains for 2017-18 are:

Olly Knight

Olly has been an enthusiastic member of the club since joining in 2014. In his first season Olly worked his way up through the grades, proving a great teammate and a skilled foam roller practitioner. In subsequent seasons Olly has proven his worth in the top grade and continues to develop his game. Always the first to give throw-downs, lead a warm-up or instigate a circuit, club spirit is built on players like Olly.

Ben Bryant

Ben joined the club last season and immediately threw himself into working for his clubmates. While he strives hard to improve his own game, Ben always makes time to lead drills and share his cricket knowledge with his fellow Bears at training. Ben, along with Olly, worked hard over the off season to develop the club’s social media presence, playing and training apparel and social calendar. The improvements are obvious.
